BRS working president KTR has accused Telangana CM Revanth Reddy of forming a secret alliance with the BJP, alleging administrative failures and corruption.
HYDERABAD: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has alleged that Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has entered into a clandestine agreement with the BJP. KTR claimed that this understanding has led to administrative failures and widespread corruption within the state.
KTR asserted that CM Revanth Reddy had assured the BJP of joining their party at an opportune moment. According to him, this alleged commitment has resulted in BJP leaders, including central ministers, shielding Revanth Reddy from scrutiny. He stated, “Despite providing substantial evidence of corruption amounting to Rs 1,137 crores in the AMRUT scheme directly to the central government, there has been a conspicuous lack of response, indicating a protective stance towards Revanth Reddy.”
Allegations of Corruption and Administrative Lapses
KTR specifically highlighted the AMRUT scheme scandal, alleging that funds meant for urban development were misappropriated. He also pointed to the SLBC tunnel collapse, attributing the incident to negligence and poor governance. He questioned the BJP’s silence on these matters, particularly when Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously accused the Congress-led Telangana government of imposing an “RR tax” of ₹150 per square foot on real estate developers.
KTR also criticized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for its inaction regarding raids conducted five months ago on properties linked to Minister Ponguleti. He claimed that despite significant cash and assets reportedly being seized, no further action had been taken.
BJP’s Alleged Support for Revanth Reddy
Expressing concern over the BJP’s continued support for CM Revanth Reddy’s administration, KTR suggested that the alleged promise of joining the BJP had led to a covert understanding between the two parties. He called on the Congress government to respond transparently to these allegations and prove its integrity.
