Hyderabad, February 11: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Patnam Narendra Reddy has accepted the challenge posed by Congress MLAs regarding the upcoming Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) elections in Kodangal. He asserted that his party is in a strong position and expects to secure at least eight ZPTC seats in the region.
Challenging the Congress MLAs, Narendra Reddy stated that if BRS manages to win even a single ZPTC seat, Congress legislators from Parigi and Makthal should resign. He insisted that elected representatives must stand by their words and honour their commitments.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Narendra Reddy recalled that in the past, Revanth had issued similar challenges but later failed to keep his word. He further claimed that Congress is facing severe public opposition in Kodangal.
The BRS leader questioned whether the ruling Congress government would treat the upcoming local body elections as a referendum on its governance in Telangana.
