HYDERABAD: BRS leaders have filed multiple police complaints against Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar following his allegations that associates of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) operated a counterfeit currency printing press in Bidar. Sanjay claimed that this operation funded political movements and elections, leading to significant financial gains for KCR’s family while burdening Telangana with debt.
In response, BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan, along with leaders Gellu Srinivas Yadav, Manne Govardhan Reddy, and K Kishore Goud, lodged a complaint at Banjara Hills Police Station, demanding immediate legal action against the Union Minister for his defamatory remarks. They criticized Sanjay for making baseless accusations without evidence, stating that such comments are irresponsible for someone holding a ministerial position.
Similarly, BRS members in Chennur filed a complaint at the local police station, urging authorities to take action against Sanjay’s inflammatory statements. BRS working president KT Rama Rao challenged Sanjay to substantiate his claims, questioning how a Union Minister could make such serious allegations without proof.
The situation has escalated tensions between BRS and BJP leaders in Telangana, with BRS officials demanding accountability and adherence to factual discourse in political dialogues.
