HYDERABAD: Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas took a jibe at BRS leaders, stating that they are living in an illusion, much like comedian Brahmanandam’s character in the movie Baadshah. His remarks came during the second day of the Assembly session, where he made sarcastic comments about the opposition party.
He criticised BRS leaders for behaving as if they were still in power, despite their defeat. Aadi Srinivas accused the previous BRS government of ruling the state for ten years with destructive policies. He further alleged that commissions and corruption were deeply rooted in the Kalvakuntla family and that all welfare schemes introduced during the BRS tenure were tainted with commission-based scandals.
Slamming the BRS, he claimed that a social media network had been set up from Dubai to malign the Congress government. He accused the previous BRS administration of making Telangana the number one state in corruption, illegal activities, and mafia operations, while asserting that the current Congress government is committed to making the state number one in development and welfare.
Aadi Srinivas emphasised that the entire nation is now looking towards Telangana. He also criticised the past BRS regime for weakening the education and healthcare sectors, while praising the Congress government for prioritising education, healthcare, and women’s welfare.
