Hyderabad: Telangana Bhavan—the nerve centre of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS)—turned into a hub of colour and camaraderie on Sunday as the party celebrated the State’s 12th Formation Day with full ceremonial dignity.
Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, MLC Madhusudhana Chary, and senior BRS leader Harish Rao jointly hoisted the national flag to mark the occasion. Earlier, a floral tribute was offered at the statue of Telangana Talli, symbolising respect for the cultural and emotional bedrock of the State.
The event drew a solid turnout of senior leaders and longtime party loyalists. In attendance were MLAs Sabitha Indra Reddy, Sunitha Laxma Reddy, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, and Malla Reddy; Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra; MLC Vani Devi; and former MP B. Vinod Kumar. Prominent party voices like R.S. Praveen Kumar, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, and Errolla Srinivas were also part of the celebrations, adding weight to the occasion.
The gathering wasn’t just a ritual—it carried the emotional heft of a party that once stood at the frontline of the fight for a separate Telangana. Leaders paused to honor the sacrifices that made statehood possible, urging everyone to remain grounded in the core values that fueled the movement: justice, self-respect, and a fierce pride in the region.
At Telangana Bhavan, the mood was electric. Slogans echoed, patriotic tunes blared, and a sea of saffron-pink flags filled the space as party workers came out in numbers to mark a day that still beats at the heart of the BRS’s political soul.
