HYDERABAD: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a walkout from the Telangana Assembly in protest against Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s response during the session. The party alleged that instead of directly answering the questions raised, the minister diverted the discussion by referring to unrelated matters.
The dispute arose when BRS members demanded a detailed report on road projects undertaken during their government’s tenure. They insisted that the statistics be placed before the Speaker, but the minister failed to respond adequately, leading to their walkout.
BRS leaders criticized the government’s approach, stating that their concerns regarding infrastructure development were being ignored. The Assembly proceedings were briefly disrupted due to the protest, but the session continued after the walkout.
