Hyderabad: Senior women leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) strongly supported KCR’s decision to suspend Kavitha, calling it a bold step to protect party discipline and integrity.
Former minister Satyavathi Rathod said BRS women cadres welcomed the suspension. She stated that MLC K. Kavitha’s public remarks had harmed the party’s image. Rathod recalled that KCR had often said he would not spare even family members who defied party values.
Former MLA Gongidi Sunitha also backed KCR’s decision to suspend Kavitha. She said that criticising the BRS was like criticising KCR himself. Kavitha, she added, had gained prominence because of the party but later chose to attack its leadership.
Former MP Maloth Kavitha said MLC Kavitha’s comments against senior leaders T. Harish Rao and B. Santosh Rao deeply upset many in the party. She praised KCR for putting the party’s interests above personal ties.
The women leaders asserted that KCR’s decision reaffirmed that the BRS was larger than any individual. They said this move clearly warned that personal ambition would not be tolerated.
They added that KCR’s swift action restored faith among grassroots workers and reinforced internal discipline.
