Bull at Funeral

Hyderabad: In a rare incident, a bull walked into a house where a funeral was being held and stood beside the body for nearly two hours in Suryapet district. The unusual event occurred at Meegadam Pahad Tanda in Palakeedu mandal and has since sparked widespread discussion in the area.

According to villagers, Rupavat Chinna Naik (54) of Meegadam Pahad Tanda died on Saturday night while undergoing treatment at Kamineni Hospital in Narketpally. His body was brought home later that night. At dawn on Sunday, a bull from Machha Tanda in Mathampalli mandal reached the house ahead of relatives and villagers, walked up to the verandah where the body was placed, and stood silently watching.

The bull’s presence made it difficult for family members and visitors to approach the body. Villagers said it stood there with a solemn demeanor, refusing to leave despite repeated attempts to drive it away. It finally moved after being forced back with sticks.

Locals recalled that Chinna Naik was a farmer owning three acres of land, lived peacefully without disputes, regularly offered prayers to Lord Shiva and Lord Rama, and often visited temples. This led to speculation in the village that the bull’s arrival was an act of divine will.

Photographs and videos of the incident gone viral on social media, drawing varied reactions and comments.
