Hyderabad: Congress leaders and government officials paid floral tributes to freedom fighter and Hyderabad’s first Chief Minister Burugula Ramakrishna Rao on his death anniversary at his statue near the GHMC office.
Telangana PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Seeds Corporation Chairman Anvesh Reddy, and several other leaders and officials participated in the ceremony.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar hailed Ramakrishna Rao as a beacon of integrity in politics and a pioneer of development in the state. “He sowed the seeds of progress that continue to grow each day,” he said.
He added that Ramakrishna Rao’s legacy lives on through his family members, who currently serve in various public roles. “We offer our respects and pray for his soul’s peace,” the Minister stated.
