Hyderabad: Excise officials arrested three persons and seized cannabis in two separate operations under the Saroor Nagar Prohibition and Excise Station limits. Station House Officer N. Srinivas Reddy said the raids were conducted on Thursday based on credible intelligence.
Acting under the supervision of the Excise Enforcement Assistant Commissioner and the Assistant Excise Superintendent, a team intercepted a suspect at Chaitanyapuri. He was found in possession of 340 grams of dry ganja and a mobile phone.
Additional arrests in Balapur
During questioning, the accused revealed that two more persons in Balapur were also transporting cannabis. Officials moved to the location and apprehended another suspect, seizing 11.5 grams of ganja, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle. The seized contraband and items were taken into custody, and further investigation was underway.
