Hyderabad: A car caught fire while travelling on Rajiv Road near the Bollaram checkpost in Secunderabad. The incident occurred when flames suddenly erupted from a moving Ford EcoSport coming from Thumkunta.
The driver, a youth from Kowkur, quickly pulled the vehicle aside and escaped unhurt. The fire completely gutted the car, but thanks to the driver’s quick reaction, there were no injuries.
Car catches fire, traffic disrupted on Rajiv Road
Army fire personnel reached the spot soon after locals alerted them. They managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread further.
Although the passengers were unharmed, the incident led to a brief traffic jam on the busy Rajiv Road as the burning car blocked one of the lanes. Traffic movement resumed after authorities cleared the vehicle from the road.
