Hyderabad: Kukatpally police registered a case following a complaint from a resident who alleged that spoiled milk sold by a local supermarket posed a health risk to his family.
According to the complainant, two packets of Heritage toned milk were purchased on Sunday from Ratnadeep Supermarket in the Marina Skies community. One packet, opened the same day, appeared normal. The second, opened on Monday, had a foul smell.
The complainant stated that the milk was boiled in two separate bowls, and both batches turned out to be spoiled.
He alleged that the issue might have resulted from negligence either during storage at the supermarket or during delivery. He further claimed that had the milk been consumed without detecting the odour, it could have seriously endangered his family’s health.
The complaint demanded criminal action against the store manager, distribution staff, and other responsible parties.
Police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation.
