HYDERABAD, February 9: BJP State President Daggubati Purandeswari has reiterated the Central government’s dedication to the development of Andhra Pradesh, announcing that approximately ₹3 lakh crore has been allocated to the state in recent months.
Addressing the media, Purandeswari highlighted the Centre’s commitment to revitalizing the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, noting that Union Minister Kumar Swamy has sanctioned ₹11,440 crore to enhance the plant’s operations.
Regarding the Polavaram Project, she criticized the lack of progress over the past five years but emphasized the Centre’s recent allocation of ₹12,500 crore to expedite its completion. A new diaphragm wall is also planned, with an investment of ₹950 crore.
Purandeswari reaffirmed the BJP’s longstanding support for Amaravati as the state’s capital, criticizing previous efforts to undermine its development. She announced that the Centre has allocated ₹15,000 crore this year for the construction of Amaravati, aiming to bolster its infrastructure and development.
These initiatives underscore the Centre’s ongoing commitment to advancing key projects and infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
