HYDERABAD: Former Union Minister and renowned Telugu film actor Chiranjeevi has called on youth to play an active role in creating a drug-free society. He made the appeal during a drug awareness programme organised virtually by T-Works, India’s largest prototyping centre, in Hyderabad.
In his message, Chiranjeevi said that society must unite to fight the menace of drug abuse. Expressing concern, he stated that some individuals, by becoming addicted to drugs, are drifting away from their dreams.
He emphasised that eliminating drugs requires not only government efforts but also collective awareness and participation from all sections of society. People must be educated about the dangers and consequences of addiction, he added.
Chiranjeevi concluded by appealing for the complete eradication of drugs from society.
