CISF seizes 22 high-end drones worth ₹26.7 lakh at Hyderabad airport

Hyderabad: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Wednesday seized 22 high-end drones worth ₹26.7 lakh at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. The drones were recovered during a suspected smuggling attempt by a passenger arriving from Singapore.

CISF officials, using behavioural profiling, noticed a suspicious bag exchange between two individuals in the arrival area. They quickly intercepted one passenger and moved the baggage to the Random X-BIS screening point near Departure Gate No. 03.

22 DJI Mini 5 Pro drones found

Screening revealed 22 DJI Mini 5 Pro drones, each with a remote controller and accessories. The total estimated value was ₹26.7 lakh.

CISF personnel handed the seized items over to Customs for further legal action.
