Hyderabad: Chief Justice of India BR Gavai said the legal profession is filled with difficult challenges and demands continual demonstration of competence and discipline.
Addressing the 22nd convocation ceremony of NALSAR University of Law in Shamirpet, CJI Gavai urged young lawyers to prove themselves through sustained effort. He stressed that understanding judicial decisions in their entirety is essential for legal professionals.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Supreme Court Judge PS Narasimha, and High Court Chief Justice Sujoy Paul were present at the event.
Gavai welcomed the increasing enrolment in legal education, noting it as a positive development. He highlighted the dual implications of emerging domains like artificial intelligence and data privacy, urging students to navigate them with care.
He told graduates that mentorship must be seen as a responsibility, not an obligation. Mastery in the legal field, he said, is possible only with proper guidance and a genuine passion for the profession.
