Class 5 student dies by suicide at Gurukul hostel in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri

Hyderabad: A Class 5 student at Jyotiba Phule Gurukul School in Tupranpeta, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, died by suicide after jumping from the hostel building’s fourth floor on Monday morning.

The student, identified as Sandhya from Mahabubnagar district, had recently returned to the school on Sunday after visiting home. She was enrolled at the state-run residential school in Tupranpeta.

According to preliminary reports, the girl allegedly took her life due to unhappiness with the hostel environment. Authorities said she jumped from the hostel terrace around morning hours. She died on the spot.

Officials are yet to release full details regarding the circumstances and possible triggers behind the incident. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
