Hyderabad: CM’s comments provoking farmers, BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy said on Friday, accusing Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of fuelling anger among cultivators instead of solving their pressing problems. He alleged that not a single sector in Telangana was functioning properly.
At a press conference in Suryapet, Jagadish Reddy said government hostels were in dire condition, with wardens using their own money to feed students because payments for eggs and groceries had not been cleared. He argued that such neglect highlighted the collapse of administrative systems.
CM’s comments provoking farmers amid urea shortage
On agriculture, the BRS leader blamed the government for failing to ensure the timely supply of urea. He said former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had guaranteed fertiliser availability before every harvest for ten years. By contrast, the current government claimed stocks existed while ministers shifted blame to the Centre.
“Farmers are suffering, and cases are being filed against them when they demand urea. What could be more shameful?” he asked, repeating that CM’s comments provoking farmers were making the situation worse.
Jagadish Reddy slams corruption, CBI handovers
The MLA further alleged that only the police department was functioning, while ministers competed with each other in corruption. He strongly opposed handing over cases to the CBI, calling it an insult to Telangana police.
“For 15 years, Telangana police were number one in the country. Why humiliate them by surrendering to the CBI?” he remarked. He warned that such actions damaged the credibility of the state’s law enforcement and eroded public trust.
Reddy concluded by urging the government to stop provoking farmers and instead provide real solutions on agriculture, education, and welfare. He said the BRS would continue to highlight failures and stand by farmers and students.
