Hyderabad: Former minister and Suryapet MLA Jagdish Reddy attacked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over his frequent trips to the national capital, alleging that the Revanth Delhi visits have yielded zero financial benefit for Telangana.
Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, Jagdish Reddy said the CM has visited Delhi more than 40 times in the past 20 months. “Not even 50 paise has come from Delhi as a result,” he claimed. He criticised the Congress government for accumulating ₹2 lakh crore in debt while spending a total of ₹5 lakh crore.
He mocked the frequency of Revanth Delhi visits, comparing them unfavorably to former CM KCR’s record. “KCR visited Delhi ten times in a decade. Revanth Reddy has doubled that rate every month,” he said.
Jagdish recalled PM Narendra Modi’s previous remark labelling Telangana as the Congress party’s ATM. “Revanth is going to Delhi to appease his bosses, not to get anything for the state,” he said.
He also targeted state ministers for deflecting criticism. “Instead of solving problems, they are busy denying them. They shamelessly claim there is no fertilizer shortage,” he said.
Former MLAs MP Lingaiah Yadav, N. Bhaskar Rao, Ravindra Kumar, and party leaders Chintala Venkateswar Reddy and Praveen Kumar were present. The event marked a coordinated attack on the Congress government’s fiscal and political strategy.
