Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday directed all district collectors in Telangana to remain on high alert and coordinate relief efforts as heavy rains continue to pound the state.
Speaking from Delhi, where he is currently on tour, the Chief Minister reviewed the situation with officials from the Chief Minister’s Office. He instructed them to ensure coordination among departments and provide timely assistance, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Collectors were ordered to continuously monitor developments, especially in districts with heavy rainfall warnings. Revanth emphasized the need to alert residents in areas near overflowing tanks, lakes, and streams to prevent loss of life or property.
Officials were told to stay stationed in their respective districts and be fully available to manage any emergent situations. Senior officials have been asked to review district-wise updates regularly and provide immediate support wherever needed.
The CM underscored the importance of taking all preventive measures to avert damage and safeguard public safety.
