HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made a significant decision regarding employees who continued on contract even after retirement. The state government has ordered the dismissal of 6,729 such employees.
Among those affected are senior officials, including NVS Reddy and Kishan Rao, along with directors of Transco and Genco. The government has decided to terminate their services as part of a policy to streamline operations.
Furthermore, the state has directed that if retired employees are needed in the future, they should be reappointed through a fresh notification instead of being retained on contract. This move is expected to create opportunities for new candidates while ensuring transparency in government appointments.
