Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy paid homage to Jnanpith awardee and celebrated Telugu poet C Narayana Reddy on his birth anniversary, calling him a towering figure in literature and public life.
In his tribute, the Chief Minister praised the poet’s work across genres—from film lyrics and poetry to novels—and noted his contribution as Vice-Chancellor of Telugu University and as a Rajya Sabha member. He said Narayana Reddy enriched Telugu literature while also rendering meaningful service to society.
BRS leader and minister Ponnam Prabhakar also remembered the poet, posting on X that Narayana Reddy was a “permanent address in the world of Telugu letters.” He described Viswambhara, the poet’s magnum opus, as a work that brought global recognition to Telangana’s literary voice.
Leaders hailed Narayana Reddy as a literary icon whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
