Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed deep condolences on the death of Jharkhand leader Shibu Soren, calling him a relentless warrior for tribal rights and statehood movements.
Remembering Soren’s legacy, Revanth said the veteran leader played a critical role in the formation of Jharkhand and remained a consistent supporter of separate state demands, including Telangana. “Shibu Soren stood firmly with the Telangana statehood movement till the very end,” he said.
Revanth noted that Soren’s fight against moneylenders and narcotics had left a lasting impact. He praised Soren’s contributions to the Adivasi community, stating that his service would be remembered as a permanent chapter in history.
Shibu Soren served eight terms in the Lok Sabha, twice in the Rajya Sabha, and held the Chief Minister post of Jharkhand on multiple occasions. Revanth Reddy extended heartfelt sympathies to Soren’s son, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and other family members.
