HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a sharp attack on former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), accusing him of misleading the public and failing to deliver on governance promises. Addressing a gathering on Friday, Reddy alleged that KCR had engaged in political manipulation and financial mismanagement during his tenure.
Reddy claimed that KCR’s government had ignored key issues, including farmers’ welfare and employment opportunities, while prioritising projects that allegedly benefited his close associates. He criticised the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leadership for its lack of transparency and accused it of evading accountability.
The CM also alleged that KCR had misused power to suppress opposition voices and hinder the progress of Telangana. He stated that the Congress government was now working to undo the damage caused by the previous administration and ensure justice for the people.
Revanth Reddy further challenged KCR to come forward and debate the state’s financial status, claiming that the former CM had left the state’s economy in distress. He assured that his government would take corrective measures to address past mismanagement and implement policies benefiting all sections of society.
The remarks are expected to escalate the ongoing political tensions between the ruling Congress and the BRS, setting the stage for further confrontations.
