Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday extended Raksha Bandhan greetings to women across the State, reaffirming his government’s commitment to their welfare and empowerment.
Calling the festival a celebration of the brother-sister bond, the Chief Minister urged everyone to observe Rakhi with joy. He said the State government was working to empower women and help them become financially self-reliant.
Reddy said women had been given priority in schemes such as Gruha Jyoti, new ration cards, Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa, Indira Canteens, and Indiramma Houses. He stressed that his administration would continue to support women until they fully participate in the State’s development.
He added that strong measures would be taken to ensure women’s safety and security. “There will be no compromise on the development and welfare of women,” he said. Reddy assured that his government stood with the people and would govern with the blessings of all.
