Hyderabad: The Indiramma housing scheme is set to bring a transformation to the tribal families of Bhadrachalam Agency, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to inaugurate the newly built houses in Bendalapadu village of Bhadradri Kothagudem district today.
According to the official schedule, the Chief Minister will arrive in Bendalapadu at 2:20 pm by helicopter. He will participate in house-warming ceremonies at the homes of beneficiaries Bachala Narsamma and Bachala Ramana, interact with other families, and unveil a pylon marking the Indiramma housing project. Later, he will address a public meeting in Damarcharla.
Bendalapadu chosen as pilot for Indiramma housing scheme
The state government selected Bendalapadu as the pilot project for the housing scheme. Of the 968 houses sanctioned for Chandrugonda mandal, 310 were allotted to this village. Construction has advanced rapidly, with 58 houses reaching slab level, 86 at the roofing stage, and 150 at the foundation stage. Officials said Bendalapadu recorded the highest number of completions in the shortest time across Telangana.
Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, who reviewed the arrangements on Tuesday, described the visit of the Chief Minister to a remote tribal village as a “historic moment.” He asserted that the scheme was being implemented with full transparency, warning of strict action against any irregularities.
CM to visit Mahabubnagar before the Bhadradri programme
Before the Bhadradri visit, Revanth Reddy will tour Mahabubnagar district’s Devarakadra constituency. He will inaugurate a Corning Technologies unit in Musapet mandal and meet key party workers. The Chief Minister will leave Begumpet at 11 am for the Mahabubnagar programme and proceed to Bhadradri thereafter.
