HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, while addressing the ‘Koluvula Panduga’ (Festival of Jobs) program, emphasized that after a decade-long wait, thousands of job aspirants are finally seeing their dreams come true under his government. He congratulated 922 candidates receiving appointment letters and assured that this was just the beginning.
Revanth Reddy highlighted that his government has filled 57,924 government jobs within ten months, a feat unmatched by any other state. He accused the previous BRS-led administration of neglecting job recruitment for ten years, questioning why they failed to prioritize the employment of Telangana’s youth.
He criticized the opposition for attempting to obstruct ongoing recruitment efforts. “They failed to provide jobs for a decade, and now they don’t want us to succeed either,” he remarked. Revanth Reddy announced that recruitment for over 2,000 Group 1, 2, and 3 posts will be completed soon.
The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to transparent governance, citing the introduction of the ‘Build Now’ portal to prevent corruption in construction permits. “No matter how influential, everyone must obtain approvals online,” he asserted.
Responding to political criticism, he questioned whether people were angry at him for providing jobs, empowering women with solar production opportunities, offering free bus travel for women, or supplying 200 units of free electricity to the poor. He also dismissed claims that he lacked political control, emphasizing that his leadership is rooted in public service rather than political dynasties.
Regarding Telangana’s hosting of the 72nd Miss Universe pageant, he defended the event as a significant opportunity for tourism and global recognition. “This will bring international visitors to Telangana, boosting our economy with revenues worth hundreds of crores,” he explained.
In his concluding remarks, Revanth Reddy accused the previous administration of financial mismanagement, alleging that public funds were misused under the guise of events like the Formula E race. “They looted public money, while we are determined to develop the state with transparency and commitment,” he said.
