Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday inaugurated the filming of Shrimad Bhagavatam Part-1 at Ramoji Film City, calling it a proud moment for Telangana and a cultural milestone akin to the impact of Ramayan and Mahabharat serials.
Speaking at the launch, Reddy said stories from Indian epics had long served as a source of inspiration and it was heartening to see a balanced approach in the production of Shrimad Bhagavatam. He recalled how the Ramayan series by Ramanand Sagar once emptied streets during its telecast and praised the involvement of Sagar’s family in the current production.
The Chief Minister said the state would extend full support to the project and noted that Ramoji Film City had gained global recognition for its filmmaking excellence.
The event was attended by Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy, CM’s advisor Vem Reddy Narender Reddy, Ranga Reddy District Collector C. Narayana Reddy, TS Road Development Corporation Chairman Malreddy Ram Reddy, and retired Supreme Court Judge Chelameshwar.
Producers Motisagar, Amrit Sagar Chopra, and Akash Sagar from Bhagavat Film Productions, along with representatives from Ramoji Film City, also participated in the event.
