Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will travel to Bengaluru this afternoon to meet AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge. The Congress chief recently underwent a pacemaker surgery after suffering from respiratory problems. Doctors at MS Ramaiah Hospital implanted the device to stabilize his heart rate. Kharge has now recovered and continues follow-up care at his residence.
The Chief Minister plans to visit Kharge to check on his health and discuss party matters. He will also review current political issues in Telangana, including the Jubilee Hills by-election, the 42% OBC reservation case, and the Supreme Court hearing on the quota policy.
Revanth-Kharge meeting to focus on Telangana political and legal strategy
Party sources said the meeting carries importance ahead of the upcoming local body polls. They explained that Revanth will brief Kharge on government actions and the Congress roadmap to strengthen its base in Telangana.
The state leadership considers Kharge’s advice crucial for both governance and election preparation. Revanth’s visit, therefore, serves as a mix of courtesy, coordination, and strategy planning with the AICC leadership.
