HYDERABAD: BRS leader and Huzurnagar constituency coordinator Onteddu Narasimha Reddy has asserted that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s move to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is inevitable.
Speaking at a press conference at the BRS party office in Nereducharla on Saturday, he pointed to Revanth’s political behavior as proof of his alleged shift. He accused Revanth Reddy of acting as a subordinate to his mentor, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, and harming Telangana’s interests. He further alleged that Revanth was using Naidu as a front to negotiate with the central government to escape the Vote-for-Note case.
Narasimha Reddy highlighted that the BJP has won in every constituency where Revanth Reddy campaigned, raising doubts about his political motives. He also questioned the continuous support from Union Ministers to Revanth, stating that even Congress leaders have blamed him for the party’s setbacks in Telangana.
Furthermore, he criticized the state government for its lack of understanding regarding irrigation projects, claiming that this has allowed Chandrababu Naidu to divert Telangana’s water resources. He also alleged that Revanth Reddy has been writing letters to the central government to obstruct Telangana’s projects.
The BRS leader accused the Congress of failing to fulfill its promises to women while misusing public funds on grand celebrations. He claimed that the government spent crores on advertisements while neglecting promises like providing scooters and Rs 2,500 monthly financial aid for women. He urged women to confront Congress leaders in villages and demand answers about the unfulfilled schemes.
