Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will launch the statewide distribution of new ration cards on July 14 at Tirumalagiri, Tungathurthi in Suryapet district.
The initiative is part of the government’s commitment to ensure food security for every economically weaker household. Cards will be issued to eligible beneficiaries under revised eligibility guidelines laid out by the Congress-led Praja Palana.
The programme, which begins with a public event at Tirumalagiri, will also see participation from Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy. Ration cards will be distributed from the same venue, with both leaders jointly initiating the process.
Officials stated that the distribution drive is aimed at delivering welfare schemes more effectively by bringing newly identified beneficiaries into the fold of essential public supply entitlements.
