HYDERABAD: A complaint has been lodged against prominent Tollywood actors Nandamuri Balakrishna, Prabhas, and Gopichand for allegedly promoting the online betting app FUN88. The complaint was filed online with the cybercrime police by an individual named Rama Rao, who claimed that the actors’ endorsements led to significant financial losses for numerous individuals.
The complainant alleged that the promotion of such betting apps has resulted in substantial monetary losses for many users, with funds allegedly being transferred to foreign entities through mule accounts.
This development comes amid increasing scrutiny of celebrities endorsing betting platforms. Recently, other Tollywood actors, including Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, and Prakash Raj, have also faced legal actions for similar endorsements. A businessman filed a complaint accusing them of promoting betting apps on social media through various means.
