HYDERABAD: The Telangana Assembly witnessed heated scenes as Congress legislators strongly objected to the remarks made by BRS leader Jagadish Reddy against the Speaker. Minister Sridhar Babu led the protest, demanding that Reddy take back every word he had spoken.
Sridhar Babu insisted that Jagadish Reddy must apologize unconditionally for his comments. He criticized Reddy, stating that arrogance had no place in the assembly and that he must acknowledge his mistake.
Congress leaders clarified that they only reacted because Reddy’s comments were unrelated to the Governor’s address and went against assembly decorum. The Speaker also expressed concern, stating that Jagadish Reddy’s remarks violated the traditions of the house.
As the protests intensified, Congress members demanded the suspension of Jagadish Reddy. Amid the uproar, the Speaker adjourned the session for 15 minutes.
