Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy urged graduate voters to support Congress candidate Narender Reddy in the upcoming MLC elections, highlighting the government’s achievements in job creation and regional development.
KARIMNAGAR: Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has urged graduate voters to ensure the victory of Congress candidate Narender Reddy in the Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak Graduate constituency elections.
Speaking at a public meeting in Karimnagar on Monday, Uttam Kumar Reddy outlined the Congress government’s achievements in employment generation and regional development. He stated that within just one year of assuming office, the Congress government had filled 55,000 government posts, including 11,000 teaching positions. He added that service conditions had been improved and long-pending promotions for teachers had been granted. Employees were now receiving salaries on time, a significant shift under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka.
The minister emphasized that the Congress government was making historic progress in addressing unemployment, which he claimed had been ignored for over a decade under the previous BRS administration.
“In just one year, the Congress government has shown what true governance looks like. Unlike the previous administration, which left youth uncertain about their futures, we have launched a structured employment drive. We are not stopping at 55,000 jobs—our government has a clear roadmap to fill more vacancies in various departments, ensuring that every deserving candidate gets a fair chance,” he stated.
Commitment to Regional Development
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to balanced regional growth, Uttam Kumar Reddy pointed out that North Telangana—particularly Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad, and Medak—had suffered from severe neglect under the previous government. He assured that new policies were being formulated to encourage investment, generate employment, and improve connectivity in the region, aiming to make it an economic hub.
Call for Support in MLC Elections
Urging party workers and voters to support Narender Reddy in the upcoming elections, he said Congress was the only party that truly understood and delivered on the aspirations of Telangana’s people. He highlighted that under the leadership of CM Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, the government had demonstrated strong commitment and leadership within just one year.
“The progress we have achieved in employment and development is just the beginning. The next four years will see an even greater transformation,” he added.
Calling the MLC elections prestigious, he appealed to graduate voters to support Narender Reddy, describing him as a well-known academician with decades of service in the education sector. He also urged Congress cadre to work diligently until polling ends on February 27 to ensure maximum voter turnout and a decisive victory for the party.
