Hyderabad: Tensions erupted in Chennur constituency of Mancherial district during the nomination process for Congress organisational elections, as two rival groups within the party came to blows.
The altercation unfolded in front of Congress election observer Raghava Reddy and TPCC Secretary Ram Bhupal, underscoring deep rifts within the local party unit. The scuffle broke out during the filing of nomination papers, with both factions accusing each other of sabotage.
One group alleged that despite years of dedication and hard work, long-standing leaders and workers are being sidelined. They claimed that those who recently joined Congress from other parties are being handed key positions, effectively bypassing grassroots workers.
The clash disrupted the nomination process and highlighted growing dissatisfaction over internal appointments.
