HYDERABAD, February 2: Congress MLA Naini Rajender Reddy has refuted reports suggesting his participation in a purported secret meeting among party legislators. He condemned these claims as deliberate conspiracies against the government and called for stringent action against those disseminating false information. Reddy stated, “There is nothing wrong if MLAs gather to discuss development.” He also expressed his intention to file defamation suits and pursue legal action against certain YouTubers spreading these allegations. Reddy plans to meet Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today to lodge a formal complaint regarding the matter.
In response to social media rumours of a rebellion within the Congress government, the Telangana Congress has become alert. The party is investigating the forces behind the special meeting held by ruling party MLAs. TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud recently spoke with Jadcherla MLA Anirudh Reddy, who organised the meeting, advising that such gatherings are inappropriate under the current circumstances. He suggested that any issues should be brought to his attention or to that of CM Revanth Reddy. The Congress has clarified to the media that no one attended the meeting and accused rival parties of spreading malicious propaganda through social media platforms.
