Hyderabad: A Congress SC cell district secretary was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Telangana’s Medak district on Tuesday morning.
The body of 28-year-old Murali Anil was discovered in Variguntham village of Kulcharam mandal. Police recovered four bullets near the body but have not confirmed whether he sustained gunshot wounds. Blood stains were visible on his right shoulder and chest.
Anil had attended a party event at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday night and was returning to his native village Paithara in his car when the incident occurred.
Local police arrived at the scene upon receiving information and shifted the body to the government hospital in Medak for post-mortem examination.
His death triggered panic in the region. Congress leaders visited the hospital to gather details about the case.
