Hyderabad: A couple from Thatikunta village in Jogulamba Gadwal district went missing on Tuesday evening while fishing in the Thatikunta reservoir. The incident has caused concern in the local community.
The missing couple, Dubbounibavi Ramudu (40) and his wife Sandhya (35), were residents of Thatikunta in Maldakal mandal. Police said they went fishing around 6 p.m. and did not return home. Their family searched nearby areas but could not locate them.
Relatives then informed the authorities. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) launched a search operation at the reservoir. By Wednesday afternoon, the couple was still missing, raising fears of drowning.
The villagers are anxious as the search continues. Gadwal police have filed a case and are investigating the matter.
