Hyderabad: Panic spread in Langer Houz on Sunday evening after locals spotted a crocodile on the banks of the Musi River. Residents said this was the third sighting in the area this season.
Children playing near the riverbank noticed the reptile resting on a large rock and quickly alerted adults nearby. A crowd gathered within minutes, recorded videos on mobile phones, and informed forest officials and the police.

Earlier this month, residents also reported crocodile sightings near Kishan Bagh, Asad Baba Nagar, and Chaitanyapuri. Locals believe the rising water levels from Himayat Sagar have allowed crocodiles to move more freely along the river.
People living along the banks voiced concern over safety. They said repeated sightings had created fear in the area.
