Hyderabad: With heavy to very heavy rainfall forecast, Cyberabad police have advised IT companies and organisations to opt for work from home (WFH) on August 14.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Cyberabad, said the advisory aims to ensure public safety, avoid severe traffic congestion, and keep emergency services running without disruption during the adverse weather.

The alert, issued to all IT firms and corporate offices in the Cyberabad area, asked managements to enable remote work arrangements for a day. The move, police said, would reduce travel risks, ease pressure on road infrastructure, and help essential services operate smoothly.
Officials stressed that minimising non-essential travel during intense rainfall periods is key to avoiding gridlocks and ensuring that emergency vehicles can move unhindered.
