Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissionerate marked the 79th Independence Day with a ceremonial flag hoisting and awards presentation at its headquarters on Friday.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, IPS, unfurled the national flag and paid tribute to freedom fighters who laid down their lives for India’s independence. In his address, Commissioner Mohanty wished citizens and police personnel a happy Independence Day, urging them to take heart from the sacrifices of those who came before.
He stressed the police force’s responsibility in upholding law and order, safeguarding national integrity, and promoting social harmony. “Our role is not only to serve as dedicated officers but also to inspire society through exemplary conduct,” he said.
Uttam Seva Pathakam awards for outstanding police service
On this occasion, the Commissioner presented the Uttam Seva Pathakam to seven officers for distinguished service, recognising their contributions on Telangana Formation Day 2025. The event was attended by Cyberabad Joint CP (Traffic) Dr. Gajarao Bhupal, IPS, and DCPs from Madhapur, Medchal, Balanagar, Rajendranagar, Shamshabad, and other divisions, along with senior officers, ACPs, Inspectors, Reserve Inspectors, ministerial and section staff.
