Hyderabad: Cyberabad SHE Teams carried out 154 decoy operations between June 29 and July 5, nabbing 66 individuals for indecent acts in public places. Of these, 57 petty cases were registered, with counselling arranged for all respondents.
According to the Women & Child Safety Wing, Cyberabad, 16 fresh complaints were received from women through various channels during the week. Officers conducted 85 awareness programmes at different locations and five counselling sessions at the Safety Wing headquarters.
At the Women Police Station in Gachibowli, 29 complaints related to marital disputes were received, with 11 cases formally registered. Counselling is ongoing for the remaining matters.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) ran an awareness campaign on issues ranging from human and child trafficking to social media harassment, cyber fraud, stalking, and child labour. About 230 participants attended these outreach sessions.
AHTU teams rescued two transgenders and nine women sex workers during the week. Under Operation Muskan-XI, 74 children were rescued, with 69 reunited with their parents and five admitted to shelter homes. Operation Muskan-XI teams registered 23 cases across the Cyberabad Commissionerate limits.
Meanwhile, around 31 families involved in marital disputes received counselling, with efforts made to reconcile them.
