Cyberabad She Teams arrest 47 in decoy ops, conduct safety program on harassment, cyber threats, and road awareness
Hyderabad: Cyberabad She Teams conducted 96 decoy operations over six days, detaining 47 individuals for harassment and public misconduct, according to DCP Srujana Karnam.
The operations, held between July 28 and August 2, targeted offenders in public spaces where women and girls reported frequent misbehaviour. Officials received 22 specific complaints regarding inappropriate conduct in open areas.
In addition to enforcement efforts, the Family Counselling Centre took on 24 domestic cases, helping couples work through their issues during counselling sessions.
The DCP also said the Cyberabad Women and Children Safety Wing continues to focus on issues affecting women and minors both at home and in public. Under the Children and Youth Safety Forum, a new initiative titled Suraksha Kavach was launched for the first time in the commissionerate’s limits.
The program focused on physical safety, cyber awareness, stress management, and infrastructure hazards, with experts delivering guidance to school students. Road safety sessions were also held for school bus drivers to promote vigilance and safe practices.
