Hyderabad: Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender on Sunday refuted reports that he plans to resign from the Telangana Legislative Assembly. He called the rumours “false propaganda” spread by political opponents.
Nagender, who won on a BRS ticket and later joined Congress, said he remains committed to serving his constituency. “I am not resigning. There is no truth to these reports,” he said, reacting to speculation on social and mainstream media.

The reports emerged amid news that the Speaker may act against 10 defected MLAs. Some media outlets claimed Danam Nagender would resign before facing disqualification.
Nagender clarified that such claims were fabricated. He said the false campaign was designed to create confusion among voters.
Following the rumours, residents and supporters from Khairatabad contacted him directly to confirm the news. He assured them that he would not step down and urged the public not to trust misinformation.
