Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dr Dasoju Sravan on Sunday offered special prayers at the Srisailam Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple on the occasion of his birthday. He was accompanied by family members and later addressed the media, voicing strong support for party chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Sravan said he prayed for the health and well-being of both KCR and his wife Shobha. “I asked Lord Shiva to bless KCR with strength to overcome all challenges. Telangana still needs his leadership,” he said.
Dasoju Sravan says KCR is absorbing all attacks for Telangana
Describing KCR as a “Neelkanth,” Sravan drew a parallel with the mythological tale of Lord Shiva who swallowed poison to save the universe. “Like Shiva during the Samudra Manthan, KCR is silently enduring all attacks, conspiracies, and betrayals against him, his family, and the BRS party—for the sake of Telangana’s aspirations,” he said.
Sravan said he had prayed with full devotion for KCR to become Chief Minister for a third time. “No matter the setbacks, I believe he will return to power,” he added.
He criticised the current government for its alleged failures, including a shortage of urea due to poor planning. “I prayed for the resolution of farmers’ problems and for the happiness of all people,” he said.
Sravan also said Andhra Pradesh temple trust boards should include representation from Telangana, emphasising unity beyond state lines.
“If KCR becomes Chief Minister again, I will personally invite him to visit Srisailam and seek the blessings of Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna,” Sravan said.
