Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar on Thursday issued an ultimatum to the Telangana government, demanding immediate allotment of land for a Muslim graveyard in Jubilee Hills constituency.

He wrote on social media platform X that the demand covered 2.16 acres of government land in Survey No.127, Town Survey No.1/1, Block-B, Ward-8, Yousufguda village, Khairatabad mandal. The land lies next to Peeli Dargah.

Sravan warned that the BRS would launch protests and hunger strikes if the government failed to respond. He said the issue was not only about land but also about a “Constitutional right to dignity in death.”

“Every day’s delay in granting the graveyard is a day’s delay in justice,” he said. He added that party leaders would submit a representation to the district collector.

Sravan also accused the government of filing “illegal cases” against masjid committee members instead of resolving the demand.
