Hyderabad: The Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana, raided an illegal clinic in Ranga Reddy district and seized unlicensed medicines on Friday.
Officials acted on a tip-off and searched the premises of Chenna Tirupathi, an unqualified practitioner in Nagaram village, Maheshwaram mandal. They found 23 types of drugs, including antibiotics, painkillers, and physician’s samples, stored without a valid licence.
The seized medicines were worth ₹50,000. Officials warned that selling antibiotics without proper qualifications can harm public health and increase antimicrobial resistance.
