HYDERABAD, February 12: Authorities have initiated demolition activities in settlements along the Musi riverbanks, beginning in Shankar Nagar Basti, Chaderghat on Wednesday. The drive aims to remove encroachments and vacated structures marked under the RB X category.
Officials are targeting houses that had been vacated earlier, ensuring compliance with urban planning regulations. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and revenue officials, under police supervision, are overseeing the process.
Residents in the affected areas had previously been served notices, and authorities are expected to continue the demolition drive in other identified locations along the Musi River.
