Hyderabad: A dengue-positive case in Prabuddhanagar of Indravelli mandal, Adilabad district, triggered concern among locals. Doctors at RIMS Adilabad confirmed the case after medical tests.
The patient is a three-year-old boy named Sangharsh, the son of Gaikwad Sachin Sanjeevan and his wife. The child had been suffering from a fever for a week. His family first took him to several hospitals in Indravelli mandal, but his condition did not improve. Two days ago, they shifted him to RIMS, where doctors diagnosed dengue.

Family members said the boy’s condition remains stable. On Tuesday, MPDO Jeevan Reddy, gram panchayat EO Sanjeev Rao, and other officials visited Prabuddhanagar. They inspected the surroundings of Gaikwad Sachin’s house and cleared sanitation lapses.
The confirmation of dengue in Indravelli mandal caused anxiety among residents. Locals urged officials to take up sanitation works regularly to prevent the spread of seasonal fevers. They demanded sustained measures from the mandal and panchayat authorities to control mosquito breeding.
