Dharmapuri Arvind slams BRS and KTR ahead of Jubilee Hills by-election

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills by-election triggered a sharp political clash as Nizamabad BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind launched a fierce attack on BRS and its working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR). Speaking to reporters in Nizamabad on Wednesday, Arvind accused the ruling party of encouraging corruption and crime across Telangana.

He questioned who supplied drugs to clubs and pubs in Jubilee Hills and under whose influence the racket operated. Moreover, he demanded that KTR clarify whether sympathy should go to “drug suppliers or victims.”

Arvind intensifies criticism of KTR and BRS leadership

Arvind alleged that KTR helped celebrities involved in drug cases escape punishment. “Those who protected drug dealers have no moral right to speak about sympathy,” he said.

Meanwhile, Arvind mocked KTR’s comments on fake votes in Jubilee Hills and called them “a joke.” According to him, the BRS mastered the creation of fake votes and forged documents during its rule. “During your tenure, even fake passports came from Bodhan—42 from one house,” he said.

He further claimed that the fake votes now surfacing in Jubilee Hills originated under BRS governance. Consequently, he argued that both the BRS and Congress had failed the people of Telangana. In his words, “The Congress is collapsing daily, and the Kalvakuntla family remains a danger to national security.”

Additionally, Arvind said the BRS had lost public confidence and relevance. He urged district officials to process contractors’ bills fairly, without political interference, and ensure timely payments.
